ABCD nationwide liraglutide audit: opportunity for registrars

ABCD is looking for registrars to take the lead in their own areas and contribute to the nationwide Liraglutide audit (4129 patients from 77 centres so far). It is ongoing since 2009. All users of liraglutide are invited to join the audit.

Post-Grad Diploma in Diabetes

Do you know a Diabetes Specialist Nurse that is interested in gaining a formal qualification to further their expertise and career in Diabetes?

If so, let them know that The University of Glamorgan is offering a limited number of £2000 bursaries for the PG diploma for UK applicants working in the NHS. Here's some reassuring data on statins and diabetes risk. In the JUPITER primary prevention trial, the cardiovascular and mortality benefits of statin therapy exceed the diabetes hazard, including in participants at high risk of developing diabetes.
