Making involvement happen: Free Diabetes UK workshops

Do you want to understand the experiences and views of people who use your services?
Diabetes UK are offering free workshops that will build your skills and knowledge of effective user engagement.

The Making Involvement Happen workshops are FREE for all NHS staff and will cover practical steps from recruiting people for events to facilitation of discussions. We will provide you with a toolkit of templates and examples to help you plan and deliver effective involvement activities.


·         Thursday 18th September 2014 – CastleGate, Newcastle (9.30am – 1.30pm)
·         Tuesday 23rd September 2014 – Euston, London (9.30am – 1.30pm)

We are also able to come to you to deliver the Making Involvement Happen workshop specifically for your organisation or for a group of representatives from your NHS partners – all still free of charge! If you have a group of between 6 and 10 participants who would benefit from the workshop then let us know.

We will cover a range of practical steps from setting the purpose of engagement, to recruiting the right people, to getting the most out of involvement activity. It will also look at some of the common problems that people face and offer ways of overcoming them. You will also be given a range of practical resources and templates to help you plan for effective involvement in your organisation.
