We would like to invite you to this European Interchange on Diabetes meeting, entitled ‘Type 2 Diabetes – a balancing act’. We would be delighted if you would join us, and a multi-disciplinary group of international experts, for our innovative programme. We will utilize discussion, presentations and interactive case studies, and there will also be an opportunity to meet the various experts in smaller, more intimate groups.

The meeting is on the 16–17 May 2014 at the Radisson Blu Edwardian, Heathrow Airport, UK

The programme information is here

The title of this meeting reflects our challenges in managing patients with Type 2 Diabetes (T2D). Our patients are walking
a tightrope between hypo- and hyperglycaemia, and often are at an increased risk from comorbidities such as hypertension
and dyslipidaemia. At the same time, we physicians are juggling a number of treatments, both for T2D and these
comorbidities, while also helping our patients to maintain their desired lifestyles.
The programme has been designed to address some important issues in T2D management. In particular, individualization
of treatment is a key theme, which includes the importance of physician-patient dialogue and how to work in partnership
with patients to manage their diabetes effectively.

These are exciting times for T2D care and we have devised a stimulating, interactive programme to help us achieve the
perfect balance of all these issues for the maximum benefit of each patient. We look forward to seeing you in London
for an enlightening discussion!
