YDEF-OCDEM Finishing School

The YDEF -OCDEM 'State of the Art' Finishing School for SpRs will be held on 28/29th January at Eynsham Hall near Oxford.  The course will be chaired by professors Rury Holman and Richard Holt and is designed for those coming towards the end of their SpR training and soon to embark on consultant careers.

YDEF Reaches New Heights!

15th June 2013 saw a nervous group of YDEF volunteers assemble at an airfield just outside Nottingham for a skydive to raise funds and awareness for Diabetes UK.

Bournemouth Pump Course

Bournemouth have been involved with many successful pump training courses and the next one has been arranged for Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd July 2015. The cost for 2 day course is £350 plus VAT per person which includes one nights’ accommodation at the Village Hotel and evening meal on 2nd July plus all daytime refreshments.  The cost of an extra night accommodation and dinner is £105. The cost of course without accommodation and evening meal will be £275 plus VAT

FDA evaluating pancreatitis risk with incretin drugs

The FDA is evaluating unpublished new findings suggesting an increased risk of pancreatitis, or inflammation of the pancreas, and pre-cancerous cellular changes called pancreatic duct metaplasia in patients with type 2 diabetes treated with  incretin mimetics.

Cardiff Diabetes Diploma
