Diabetes UK Summer Camp

Written by Ali Chakera on Tuesday, 24 July 2012 16:19.

Diabetes UK is urgently looking for a doctor to cover their residential event at Caythorpe Court, near Grantham in Lincolnshire, for the weekend of 24th – 27th August 2012. The weekend has been organised and paid for 30 children to attend, but needs a doctor to ensure it can go ahead.

Attending a Diabetes Camp is part of the curriculum; gives training in community diabetes, as well as being a fun and worthwhile thing to do.

This course will cover essential aspects of the investigation and management of lipid disorders, and is geared towards trainees in diabetes / endocrinology, cardiology, clinical pharmacology, etc, who will encounter patients with dyslipidaemia but for whom this area of medicine often receives little formal training. It is on Monday 15 June 2015 at the Royal Society of Medicine.
